Prof. Steven (Shichang) Gao
Professor Steven (Shichang) Gao is Chair of RF and Microwave Engineering, and the Head of Communications Research Group at School of Engineering and Digital Arts, University of Kent in UK. Besides, he is an expert in the fields of space antennas, smart antennas, RF/microwave/millimetre-wave/THz engineering, mobile and satellite communications, radars, electromagnetic field theory and applications. He authored, co-authored and co-edited 3 books including Space Antenna Handbook (Wiley, 2012), Circularly Polarized Antennas (Wiley-IEEE, 2014), and Low-cost Smart Antennas (Wiley, 2019), over 400 papers in international journals and conferences, and owns 20 patents. Moreover, he is a Fellow of IEEE, the Royal Aeronautical Society and IET, and was a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (2014-2016). Additionally, he is the representative for the UK and the Republic of Ireland in European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP) and a member of the 6G (6th generation mobile communications) Expert Group responsible for writing the new version of 6G White Paper to be published this year. In the field of antennas and propagation, he is the only UK academic in the 6G Expert Group which consists of some leading experts internationally in 6G related technologies. He is an Associate Editor of several international Journals (IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation; Radio Science; IEEE Access; IET Circuit, Devices and Systems; Electronics Letters), and the Editor-in-Chief for Wiley Book Series on "Microwave and Wireless Technologies". He was General Chair of 2013 Loughborough Antenna and Propagation Conference, Lead Guest Editor of Proceedings of the IEEE for Special Issue on "Small Satellites"(2018), Lead Guest Editor of IEEE Trans on Antennas and Propagation for Special Issue on "Antennas for Satellite Communication"(2015), Guest Editor of IET Circuits, Devices & Systems for Special Issue in “Photonic and RF Communications Systems” (2014), Chair of Special Session on “Satellite Communication Antennas” in CSNDSP'2012, Co-Chair of Workshop on "New Technology Development for Space" in 2015 IEEE Microwave Symposium, etc. He is a member of the editorial boards of many journals such as International Journal of Space Science and Engineering (US), Chinese Journal of Electronics (China), Chinese Journal of Radio Science (China), etc. He was a Plenary/Invited Speaker of many international conferences and workshops (IEEE APWC'2017, UCMMT'2017, iWAT’2017, AES'2014, IWAT'2014, SOMIRES'2013, APCAP'2014, etc).
His research interests include smart antennas, space antennas, space-borne radars, phased arrays, MIMO, antenna and radio propagation for 4G/5G/6G mobile communications, mobile terminal antennas, base station antennas, antennas for satellite communications, antennas for small satellites, RF/microwave/millimetre-wave circuits and RF front ends, mobile communication systems, satellite communications, inter-satellite links, wireless power transfer, UWB radars, GNSS reflectometry, synthetic-aperture radars, electromagnetic modeling and small satellites.

Prof. Shaoliang Peng
Prof. Shaoliang Peng is a professor at College of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering of Hunan University. He is also the 2020 "Changjiang Scholar Award Program" Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education China, the "Yuelu Scholar" professor/doctoral supervisor of Hunan University, and the recipient of the Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of Hunan Province. He is the initiator and board chairman of the Bioinformatics society of Hunan province and the board member of the Bioinformatics society of China. His research interests include bioinformatics, high performance computing, precision medicine, medical big data, and computer aided drug design. He has published 7 monographs and over 200 academic papers on several internationally influential journals, including Science, Nature Communications, Cell AJHG, NAR, Genome Research, Bioinformatics, ACM / IEEE Transactions, BIBM, and so on, which have been cited by Google for 6000 times in recent years. Prof. Shaoliang Peng has a big team and more than 150 friends to review paper ASAP. He has served as Executive Editors-in-Chief for the Interdisciplinary Sciences: Computational Life Sciences International Journal (ISCLS) and International Journal of Biological Sciences (IJBS) for 10 years. He has done with more than 100 papers per year and improved the impact factor of ISCLS from 0.7 to 2.2. SCLS currently has ranked top 10 bioinformatics journals.
Prof. Nick Freris
Nick Freris is Professor in the School of Computer Science at USTC, and Vice Dean of the International College. He received the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 2005, and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, the M.S. degree in Mathematics, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering all from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2007, 2008, and 2010, respectively. His research lies in AIoT/CPS/IoT: machine learning, distributed optimization, data mining, wireless networks, control, and signal processing, with applications in power systems, sensor networks, transportation, cyber security, and robotics. Dr. Freris has published several papers in high-profile conferences and journals held by IEEE, ACM, and SIAM and holds three patents. His research has been sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Anhui Dept. of Science and Technology, Tencent, and NSF, and was recognized with the National High-level Talent award, the USTC Alumni Foundation Innovation Scholar award, and the IBM High Value Patent award. Previously, he was with the faculty of NYU and, before that, he held senior researcher and postdoctoral researcher positions at EPFL and IBM Research, respectively. Dr. Freris is a Senior Member of ACM and IEEE, and a member of CCF and SIAM.
Prof. Jian Dong
Jian Dong received the B.S. degree in communication engineering at Hunan University in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2010. He was a Research Assistant at National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Multispectral Information Processing of HUST from 2006 to 2010. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Eledia Research Center of University of Trento in Italy from 2016 to 2017. He works as a Full Professor at School of Computer Science and Engineering of Central South University. He published 6 books and over 130 peer-reviewed academic papers on international journals and conferences. He owns 18 innovation patents. His research interests include antennas, metamaterials, wireless communications, machine learning, and its applications to electromagnetics and medical big data. He is a member of Young Talents Board of Zhijiang Lab, a member of the expert database of Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and Shaoguan Municipal Enterprise Innovation Development, and a commissioner of the Guangdong Ministry of Enterprise Science and Technology Commissioner. He served as a Committee Member of EITCE 2021, as a Session Chair for IEEE ICMMT, IEEE NEMO, IEEE ISAPE, ACES, PIERS, ICECIT, and a guest editor for the Journal of Mathematics.
