Summary:
With the development of sensing, communication, computation, storage, and control technologies, it is expected that everything could be connected by the Internet, e.g. cars, trains, airplanes, machines in factories. The physical world and virtual world will interact with each other and then create a more efficient, safer and smarter future life. However, different industrial scenarios have different requirements of sensing, communication, computation, storage and control. This workshop aims to serve as a key platform to showcase and disseminate the latest progress and breakthrough in the area of industrial Internet of things. Its topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Gang Liu works as an associate professor at the School of Information Science and Technology of Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU). He received the Ph. D. degree in Communication and Information Systems at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) in 2015, and the B.S. degree in Electronics and Information Engineering at Sichuan University (SCU) in 2010. He was also with the University of British Columbia and Carleton University as a visiting Ph.D. student from Nov. 2013 to Nov. 2014. His research interest lies in the next generation cellular networks, connected vehicle networks, wireless communications for railway, and massive IoT networks. Dr. Liu co-authored more than 40 technical papers in international journals and conference proceedings with more than 1000 citations. He won the Second Prize for Satellite Navigation and Positioning Science and Technology in 2020, the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of BUPT in 2015, the Best Paper Award in IEEE ICC'2014, and the Second Prize in the National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest of China in 2009. He serves as the secretary and treasurer for IEEE ComSoc, Chengdu Chapter. He also served as reviewers/TPC members for numerous journals and conferences, such as IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking, IEEE Communications Letters, Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Networks, International Journal of Communication Systems, China Communications, KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems, IEEE ICC, IEEE Globecom, IEEE WCNC and so on.
Chengchao Liang received the B.Eng and M.Eng. in Communication and Information Systems at Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT) in 2010 and 2013 respectively, and the Ph. D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carleton University in 2017 awarded the Senate Medal. He works as a Professor at the School of Communication and Information Engineering, CQUPT. Before this, he was a cross-appointed Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, Carleton University as well as Huawei Ottawa Research & Development Centre from 2017 to 2019. He is on the Editorial Boards of EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, and Computer Communications. He served as the reviewer and the TPC member for many IEEE journals and conferences. His research interests include mobile networking, caching, and computing with an emphasis on cross-layer/system optimization, and convex theory.
Meng Li works as an associate professor at Faculty of Information Technology of Beijing University of Technology (BJUT). He received Ph. D. degrees in electronic science and technology at Beijing University of Technology in 2018. He joined Beijing University of Technology in 2018. From September 2015 to September 2016, he visited Carleton University as a visiting Ph. D. student funded by China Scholarship Council (CSC). His research interests include M2M communications, industrial Internet, intelligent edge computing, blockchain, etc. He published more than 30 papers in reputable journals/conferences and 10 granted patents, with more than 300 citations. Dr. Li served as the reviewer of several academic journals, including IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC), IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT), IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (TMC), etc. He also served as the Technical Program Committee (TPC) member of IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE ICC, IEEE WCNC, and IEEE 5G World Forum, etc. He is a member of IEEE, China Institute of Communications (CIC), China Computer Federation (CCF), and Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE).
Huan Zhou is a full professor at the College of Computer and Information Technology of China Three Gorges University. He received his Ph. D. degree from the Department of Control Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University in 2014. He was a CSC-supported postdoc fellow at the University of British Columbia from Nov. 2016 to Nov. 2017. His research interests include IoTs, Mobile Edge Computing, and VANETs. He has published more than 70 papers published by refereed international journals (e.g., IEEE JSAC, IEEE TPDS, IEEE TMC, IEEE TWC, etc.) and conferences (e.g., IEEE IWQoS, MASS, IEEE Globecom, IEEE ICC, etc.). He was a Lead Guest Editor of Pervasive and Mobile Computing, Local Arrangement Co-Chairs of I-SPAN 2018, TPC Chair of EAI BDTA 2020. He is the recipient of the Best Paper Award in I-SPAN 2014 and 2018. Currently, he is serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE ACCESS, and Springer EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking. He received the Outstanding Associate Editor of 2018 of IEEE Access.
Gang Yang works an Associate Professor at National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Communications, and the Center for Intelligent Networking and Communications, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He received a Ph. D. degree from Nanyang Technological University. He was a Research Fellow with National University of Singapore in 2015. His research interests include Internet-of-Things communications, reconfigurable/symbiotic communication based on intelligent reflecting/backscatter and wireless powered communications. He has published over 50 prestigious international journal or conference papers with 3 ESI highly cited papers, and applied for 16 patents, with 8 granted patents. He was a recipient of the IEEE Communications Society Stephen O. Rice Prize Paper Award in the field of communication theory in 2021, the IEEE Communications Society Transmission, Access, and Optical Systems (TAOS) Technical Committee Best Paper Award in 2016, the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad in 2015. He is an editor of IEEE Communications Letter and an editor of the IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society. He served for the IEEE Globecom 2017 as Publicity Co-Chair, and the workshop chairs for IEEE VTC-Spring 2021, IEEE ICCC 2019, and IEEE ICCS 2018.
Sicong Liu received his B.S.E. and the Ph.D. degree both in electronic engineering at Tsinghua University in 2012 and 2017. He was a visiting scholar at City University of Hong Kong in 2010. He served as a senior research engineer in Huawei Technologies before joining Xiamen University in 2018, where he is an associate research fellow and an assistant professor. His research interests lie in compressed sensing, vehicular communications, and visible light communications.Dr. Liu published more than 50 papers on peer-reviewed journal or conference. He published five monographs on wireless communications, compressed sensing, and wireless security. He holds 8 Chinese patents. He won the Best Paper Award for ACM UbiComp’21 CPD WS. He served as the editor, TPC chair, publication chair, or TPC member of several IEEE and other academic journals and conferences.
